MJ's desktop has a B57 in it.  No genmac (or wireless) on that machine. IIRC it doesn't have a long delay at that point in bootup.  Not sure what
driver level I'm using.

I can poke deeper if this will be useful.
 
  
Thanks, Julian. The next time it boots, just check the version, would you? 8.28 boots up as expected; 10.03 takes an eternity (10 minutes?).
