I travel (US, Canada, Europe) a lot and have never had a problem using DHCP. When the DHCP server sends you an IP it also sends you the subnet mask, router
to use, and domain name server IPs.  Since all of the data comes from one place
I would expect it to be correct.

My guess is there is something wrong in your TCP setup.

Then it may be wrong in quite a few people's setup, because I see it too. I've
tried a few dozen access points, and some work right the first time, and some
don't.

In any case, the limitation of one interface for the DHCP client is bad enough
to make me want Paul Smedley's version.

So this new client allows both interfaces to get an address from two different networks?  That would be useful!
Sam

There may be other limiting factors in the stack besides the client itself, Sam. I'm not sure how to configure multiple DHCP interfaces with ISC at this point (read the docs, and/or check out the ISC DHCP homepage at http://www.isc.org/index.pl?/sw/dhcp/. I surely am interested in feedback on this, whenever somebody gets the time to check it out and provide a full report. I'm simply overloaded at present...
