From Hakan's description, however, it only affects the onboard NIC and not the wireless card, which is interesting (different PCI bus). I understand your point, Carl, but there are in fact two ethernet devices seen by the hardware and the software. Somehow, one of them is not getting power upon resume. Hakan: does the system suspend and resume normally, or do you get the same symptom as when resuming from hibernation? Back on-topic, and probably should be split off into a separate thread: I'm interested to hear from both of you as to any Wi-Fi dropouts you may experience with the 2915 or the 3945 cards. I find the later Intel drivers to be less susceptible to this condition, but still, they happen. I have a client where we just deployed two T60's (running XP), patched to the latest levels (the latest Intel driver for the 3945 did *not* work properly with Access Connections, so I had to roll back to the latest offered by Lenovo), and I have seen a couple dropouts already (and not related to the use of WPA2; these were complete loss of connectivity from the card, requiring a reboot to reactivate). -- Lewis ------------------------------------------------------------ Lewis G Rosenthal, CNA, CLP, CLE Rosenthal & Rosenthal, LLC Accountants / Network Consultants New York / Northern Virginia www.2rosenthals.com eComStation Consultants www.ecomstation.com Novell Users Int'l www.novell.com/openenterpriseserver Need a managed Wi-Fi hotspot? www.hautspot.com ------------------------------------------------------------ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
