Well I'd try typing SETUP on the command line, there's a possibility it'll re-activate the wired connection without having to reboot the system.
So is this hibernation a hardware hibernation started by pressing the power button or closing the lid for example rather than a command from the operating system ? What file system have you installed eCS onto - HPFS or JFS ? I always thought hibernation under OS/2 only worked when the OS was installed on the FAT file system.

I presume you've tried running SETUP.CMD and TCPSTART.CMD to reset the TCPIP connection ?
Did you have to use FAT for the implementation (system partition and hibernation partition) ?
