As for auto switching between wired and wireless, I do believe this has been requested. What happens at present is that if XWLAN (not genmac itself) sees that you are connected to the same network at the same time via wireless and wired, it pops up a message and asks you which you wish to operate on.

Is this sufficient for your needs ?

I don't recall seeing such a message or the option to select.

This is indeed a message from XWLAN, and will surface *if* the wired connection is active and the wireless becomes active *on the same network*.
I have a laptop with Intel 2200 and Realtek 8139.  Under Win I installed two drivers.  It uses wired if it available and if not uses wireless. All I have to do to get it to switch is plug or unplug the Ethernet cable.

Yes, Windows 2000 and above handle this switching quite well (as does Linux, I might add).
Under OS/2 the best I have done is install 8139 and save the files, and then install GenMac and save the files again.  I have two cmd files that copy the files, then I reboot.  My hope was that if GenMac would do both 2200 and 8139 I could switch with out booting.

You do not need to run the same driver (GenMAC) for both NICs. Simply load both drivers at boot time; typically, LAN0 will be your wired NIC an d LAN1 will be your wireless interface.
If you think XWLAN it capable of switching I'll try that.  Is there something that has to be configured?

Read the online help in  XWLAN; it is invaluable...

Scripts for switching between wired and wireless connections are available in the list archives:
