Why on Earth do you want it to make it that difficult? As I told already, it suffices to run the program in an os2 dos window or full screen, As easy as that.
If one has not got OS/2 installed yet, then the patch can be applied after booting the system from a DOS diskette, even in this case, the card must be removed to get to the point where the OS boots.
