Why on Earth do you want it to make it that difficult? As I told already, it suffices to run the program in an os2 dos window or full screen, As easy as that.

My experience is that with the card installed, the system stops booting and gives an 1802 error. If one has OS/2 installed already the patch can be run from an OS/2 DOS environment but if the system wont boot you can get to OS/2, hence the need to remove the card.

If one has not got OS/2 installed yet, then the patch can be applied after booting the system from a DOS diskette, even in this case, the card must be removed to get to the point where the OS boots.
