First of all it is necessary to show your smb.conf.... This is a good starting point to discuss.

Also does the Windows box connect to warp server OK, only not to Samba ?

Have you stopped warp server before starting  SAMBA Server - you don't have both running at the same time do you ?

If the windows box is a Vista box - good luck - there are a lot of new problems with that.

If trying to use NetBeui on windows XP, you do know you have to specially install the protocol on XP from the install CD.

Also worth trying is (diosconnect you local network from the internet while doing this) - disable any software firewall on the windows box and see if you can connect then. If you  can you need to reconfigure your software firewall to allow this traffic through.
