Please log into the GS which is running factory firmware. On the first page (IIRC), you should see something related to DHCP Server; a radio button, most likely. That should be enabled. Under that should be something to do with address range. Please let me know what it says.
At the top of the page (most likely) it will tell you the LAN address of the device, which is likely (if left at default) 192.168.1.1. Please verify this.
See G & GS-XX: http://picasaweb.google.com/raydav94/ScreenShots#
Please log into the G, running DD-WRT. Go to the Setup tab (I think; I'm looking at 2.4 SP1, and don't have ready access to a box running 2.3) and go down to the Network Setup section. Under Router IP, what is listed for the Local IP Address?
Under Network Address Server Settings (DHCP), please list the settings you see there.
Finally, from a wired client machine, please go to an OS/2 window and type:
ifconfig lan0 <Enter> (assuming your wired interface is indeed lan0)
Copy and paste the output into your reply; and then:
netstat -r <Enter>
copy and paste that output, as well.
Wireless security is off.
The System Information page said
Services > DHCP server = enabled
And I got the following:
[E:\]ifconfig lan0
lan0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,LOOPBRD>

On the setup page were buttons for DHCP. I selected disabled.
And got the following:

With limited iterations it is difficult to establish cause and effect.
eCS SM could not access G. When it ran it said it could not find Mozilla.org. OK. So I entered 192... It continued to say cannot find Mozilla. So I went to WXP. Later eCS works.
Now I cannot find the G DHCP setup. Note the Basic setup page Help side bar refers to DHCP setting, but it not on the page.
If LAN and internet work without wireless security but not with it doesn't that imply a security issue?
