What security setting is preferable? > As long as the G & the GS have *different* addresses (on the same network), you're fine. If they're both 192.168.1.1, then you will run into problems. I would probably go with WPA2/TKIP+AES (WPA2 Mixed, or WPA2 Personal Mixed). So many of these things come defaulted to PST, that I, being located in EST, immediately ass-u-me that the TZ hasn't been set. ;-) You got it right; please ignore such outbursts from me, as they are usually the result of either too much coffee, not enough sleep, too many clients yelling at me at once, or a combination of the above! Anyway, glad this is working for you. I told you that the experience would be a good one to get under your belt. It's a little tricky, but I find that once you actually get it working, it's fairly consistent.
