Hi Stu,

I found that although SM2B2 ran OK - it hung the system on exit, at
least when running eCS-Flash10!
SM 1.1.18 still runs (faster startup times etc.) mozturbo, SM2B2
doesn't! By setting up a program object for that in Startup folder
with "-L" parameter and putting same with parameter "-U" to unload it
in my XWP Shutdown Folder I can exit cleanly every time - if something
on the www causes it to hang, it can be killed from the window-list
without TOP/CADH via multiple CTRL-ESC! I can't recall having any
problems with it in RC7 - but I'm just about to install RC7 on this
T43, so I'll soon find out for sure! ;-)

Hi Mike,

Good luck with rc7!

Stu
Hi Stu,

I ought not to be typing this now as this session started about 36+ hours ago, interrupted by a few hours of live motor racing in Surfer's Paradise yesterday and today - main event used to be an Indycar/CART event every year, but unfortunately is no longer - was supposed to be an A1 GP (all same vehicles, teams are representing different countries), but they failed to turn up in AU! :-(

I tried three times installing RC7(A) on this T43, without success. Each time (freshly long-JFS-formatted), it hung in the installing TCP/IP applications secton of Phase 2. Trying the resume.cmd had so much missing that I gave up on it completely! :-(

Decided to just put an additional RC6a installation on the system, but this time with the wireless enabled. Apart from the following everything went smooth as silk!

I seem to have the application help files for WLAN missing - the program objects for the documentation are referring to files in the \var\temp\.....\....\ hierarchy which don't exist anywhere on the disk!

I ran the GenMAC scan program and got the following:
Generic MAC Wrapper Driver - Wireless LAN Scan

Dev-Name : WRND322$
Nif-Name : W168CX1014.NIF
Lan-Number : lan1
Link-Status : 0x4001000c

So I guess I'm getting there (slowly!) Actually I also picked up anothr MAC address "Murphys" - I bet it's a Windows-using near neighbour (across the road in the village I live in - 30m away) name of Jim Murphy! Obviously his system (or he) didn't appreciate the scanning as it went off the air shortly afterwards!
LAN is on adapters 0 and 1(lan0), WLAN is on adapters 2 and 3 (lan1). Have TCPBEUI+NetBIOS+TCP/IP on both. This is the lantran.log:
