Have Linksys router model BEFW11S4 wireless B used only on wired side.  Lately it runs incredibly slow on uploads on dsl.  Normal is
450 bps for upload, when in troublesome mode  70bps.  Obviously makes for slow uploads to ftp server.  Tried ftp between
local machines on router.  120k when should be almost instant at 100 mbs.

Router has been on around the clock lately though computers were not using it.   Is this a sign of heat damage or impending failure
giving a warning?
