It is *not* an XWLAN script to be called from XWLAN. Considering your current setup (i.e., using GenMAC with a supported device), this sounds like an issue for the XWLAN support list, which Christian does monitor. See http://news.gmane.org/gmane.org.netlabs.wlan.general/ . 1) Only thing that works is ssid -ssid sxwamp in setup.cmd or manually from command line. This certainly should not be. 2) So, I guess I will keep the activation in the setup.cmd (home profile) and make scripts for my university's & starbucks. The scripts will definitely work, and it appears that XWLAN - once the card has been initialized - is able to function. Thus, it may be easier to just create profiles for each and only script the startup of the card as a (hopefully temporary) workaround. I was under the impression that the real issue was (you) not turning on the radio or configuring the radio to start on XWLAN init (see Radio properties page). Sorry for not following more closely! I'm happy enough with the setup, so I guess that's all that matters. Indeed! However, XWLAN is a really nice utility (what I consider to be a "killer app") with *excellent* developer support. When it functions as it should, it makes wireless life so much easier. Whenever I have a client who is running Windows call me with a wireless connection problem, I simply cringe at the possibility that he is not using Access Connections and instead that dreadful built-in management (and I use the term "manegement" *very* loosely) from XP (or worse, Vista). I can usually walk through XWLAN and Access Connections issues while driving and talking on the phone, but some of the other utilities - even on Gnome or KDE - just frustrate me no end.
