I'm curious about something, after stopping recently at Fry's for other reasons. One of their salesmen was talking to another customer nearby, on the subject of networking gear, and said that Linksys was "circling the drain" quality wise, ever since Cisco took them over. One major basis for this -- he said -- was the rate of returns, and customer complaints about reliability.Norm Metcalf, Boulder Colorado
(This is where one might interject some comment about the level of info to be expected from a Fry's employee, but my impression was that this guy was a few notches above average for them.) What say You ?

I've had to return three of their WRT54G routers because neither myself nor Linksys Tech Support could get them to install. On the other hand two of them worked fine right out of the box. Supposedly the WRT54GL is quite capable and has more features, plus being Linux compatible.
