I'm playing catch-up with a backlog of Digests from this list,
among email I did not have time to process, and will still be
catching up for awhile. Have gotten up through Digest #1452.

Yeah, I thought that was a non-starter as well, for reasons you
previously mentioned to me. Makes me wonder if there may yet be
some hope for the Hawking wireless Nic-stick I've used successfully
on the Dark Side for a good while (Zydax chipset), or the unbranded
Atheros-based one that replaced it. They were very handy options
for me.
