Well I went to Trier for WSE and the 330ge would not get an IP address
in the conference centre nor in the hotel.  It would connect to the AP
but never got an IP address. DHCPMON just endlessly sends DISCOVER
messages.

Got around it once in the centre buy borrowing a 330g, getting an IP
and then swapping the units :-)

Now playing at home and I think I see daylight. I have both a 330g and
a 330ge. Now the g has this sexy "clone MAC address" feature. The ge
does not.  Given that both systems used the "divert to a login page
trick" (Which NoScript *really* does not like!) could it be that the
wifi connection comes from one MAC and the DHCP request from another?
After a short period I found that an arp -a showed an unknown MAC for
the LAN address of the asus.
