OS/2 Wireless Users Mailing List <os2-wireless_users@2rosenthals.com>
You *can* make OS/2 eCS run on the T60p.
I did - having spend many, many weeks of try & error
over this.
But its an exercise in futility as you end up with a
castrated system.
No USB support, limited if any network support, no
sound and most damming, SNAP only works w/o HW
accelaration.
Which is just fine for normal WPS work, but a pain for
cmd line windows (they take up to 2-3 seconds to
redraw), and it makes WarpVision or any other video
demanding application fail outright.
And you can forget about VirtualPC or Serenity Station
support under those conditions.
And to be brutally frank, the speed improvement over
e.g. a 2.28GHz T43p is minimal at best.
