Does anyone know why IBM has made sure the Txx line would work with OS/2? Do you know why the T60 does not?=20 Think mainframes. IBM has been using the Txx line of laptops in their mainframe processors, to control things like IPL and mainframe setup and control. It is the user interface. On these laptops they have been using OS/2. IBM has been using OS/2 on PC's to control mainframes for many years.=20 With the newest z9 mainframe IBM has dropped OS/2 as the operating system, for mainframe setup and support, and they are now using a version of LINUX. The latest z9 still has a T43, but no longer running OS/2.=20 So like someone mentioned a while back, OS/2 and eCs users should quite relying on the IBM line of laptops as being something that will support these operating systems, and possibly look at other models. Hopefully I'll be able to do some tests in the next few weeks. I am supposed to be getting a T60 (no idea what hardware will be in it) that I can do a little testing with.
