Hi Lewis,Not sure, but this is a good question. You may recall that I manually resized my screen prior to my PASUG presentation last January (and I did the same at Warpstock). I use SNAP Pro. Interestingly enough, this doesn't appear to be in the FAQ. My hunch, however, is that OS/2 may be the limiting factor (akin to our inability to change desktop resolutions without a reboot). Check with the gang at SciTech on this.
Hot Key, Presentation Director, Power Management (not APM), ActiveHakan, none of these are directly available for OS/2. ThinkPad Configuration is usually functional in a DOS box using the (if available) DOS utility. The other utilities have some corresponding functionality in other native apps: XWLAN is our equivalent to IBM Access Connections; Jan's ThinkPad OSD utility (http://tinyurl.com/3623h9) takes the place of the hotkey utility; some of Presentation Director's functionality is available in SNAP; etc.. AFAIK, the active Protection System does not require a driver per se, but the Windows interface merely reports the status of the APS.
Protection System (for the hard disk), Access Connections (and possibly
others)
A couple of questions:
* Does SNAP allow the user to run an external projector at a
different (usually lower) resolution than the main screen, e.g., 1280 x
1024 vs. the LCD resolution of 1600 x 1200?
* Can I configure my laptop to properly hibernate (and not justWith the standalone hibernation utility, it should be possible (I have not tried this on the T43, but I did have it working on my T30). Follow the same procedures as outlined on the ThinkWiki: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Hibernation_mode. I think a big improvement may be made with the ACPI driver (again, I'm not using it as yet), and there is more on this particular topic on ThinkWiki: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/How_to_make_ACPI_work (though mostly aimed at Linux).
