Of course, the operative word is "should." A TRAP008 definitely points to an IRQ conflict, and it has been my experience that this is when something has left an interrupt hot following a reboot or some other access (the opening system sound from the desktop, perhaps). I had a brief discussion about TRAP 8's with Scott in Austin in 2002, and this was his insight into the issue (that was when Andy and I were discussing TRAP 8's upon reboot on the A20m and the T20, when coming out of Windows 2000 and into OS/2.
