I had also some problems with broadcom drivers, my conclusions are following:
- some version of the drivers take very long time on loading(some minutes), first I thought the machine hang, but it does not, just take some time.
- from my experience the drivers that are included with ecs 2.0 beta CD are working OK, the delay is only some seconds(5-10), don't remember the version number now.

The hardware tested is Z60m and also on some ABit motherboard.

regards
Marko

I have been using version 8.28 of the Broadcom driver on my T43p and
decided to try version 9.12 of the driver because of some problems I
have been having.  After copying the 9.12 driver files over the
corresponding files from 8.28, the machine now hangs when reaching the
Broadcom B57 driver at startup.  Restoring the 8.28 files also restored
the ability to boot.

Has anyone used version 9.12 of the drivers successfully on a TP?

I went through so much agony during my initial setup finding a stable B57 driver (and I have had similar experiences with HP/Compaq servers using Broadcom chips), that I haven't had the guts to try to move off of the one I'm using.
