I see commercials on local TV all the time for HughesNet
[http://www.hughesnet.com].  I have no idea if it is good, bad or
indifferent.  Their campaign seems to be to get the users who are too
far from a C.O. for DSL and where there is no cable service.  The
advertise that, "All you need is a clear view of the southern sky..."

Fortunately, I have 3MB DSL and don't have the problem.  So, I've not
even tried to check it out.
