I think we need to get more feedback on this one, as it may be machine-specific or stack-level specific. I know from others with the 2915 in T4x ThinkPads that the trap occurs without it, but haven't tracked down the actual cause.

I would defer to Adrian or Willibald on this one (and frankly, I'm surprised it's still required).
